Some of you may remember my recent discussion about hormones and how my body and cycle have changed since hitting my 30s. An overwhelming number of you replied to my question explaining how you have experienced similar changes and are always on the lookout for ways to support your general well being around this time. I’ve decided to team up with, and support an Irish company (based in Wicklow) Cleanmarine For Women and share a trial of my experience taking the product with you all. I’ve sat down with the brand’s nutritionist who answered any questions I had about the brand, please note I am not a nutritionist or trained professional in this area, but Cleanmarine For Women are more than happy to answer what I can’t. I simply want to give you my genuine thoughts as a normal woman trying something out as my energy levels are something I really want to improve. I want this to be a very different Paid Partnership to simply promoting an already popular brand (hence the trial approach), and want to share the changes (if any) as they occur.
As you’ll know if you’ve been following me for a while is that since my 20’s I’ve really noticed the change in my hormones in the middle of my cycle and rather than continually struggling with this each month, after all I have many years of periods ahead? I thought it was time to see if taking a food supplement could support my hormonal activity throughout the month. Cleanmarine For Women is a unique all-in-one Omega 3, Phytonutrient and Vitamin blend designed to offer nutritional support to women especially around the time of your period. Ingredients include Omega 3 Krill Oil (which I’m comfortable taking in this form, but is not suitable for vegans), Vitamin B1 which contributes to normal energy yielding metabolism, Vitamin B2 which supports a reduction in tiredness and fatigue, B6 which contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity and D3, as well as Rosemary Extract and Soy Isoflavones. This synergistic formula is ideal for women who want to feel and look good every day – which is a winning combination in my opinion. The brand also has an MSC certificate in sustainability and is tested sports safe to WADA standards.
So far (week 3) I’ve noticed that I’m feeling less anxious in the lead up to my period. Maybe it’s the effects of the Vitamin B1 and B6 which contribute to normal psychological function. The main thing that stands out right now is convenience; I know just one product (2 capsules) contain all of the beneficial multivitamins and Omega 3’s I personally need. The capsules are also easy to swallow (nothing worse than large tablets) and the phospholipid form is easily absorbed by the body, meaning there’s no repeat or uneasy tummy. So many of my followers who have trialed the products for longer have said this is a huge benefit because other fish oils can cause them issues in terms of digestion. If you’ve been following my trial on Instagram you’ll know that Hormone Health Week is coming to a close, but this initiative is just the start of our hormone health education journey. This week aims to raise awareness and understanding of the hormonal changes and challenges that come with every stage of womanhood – from puberty to menopause and beyond. If you didn’t make it to one of the Cleanmarine For Women have in-store events running around the country with Cleanmarine Female Hormone Advisors you can download the Essential Guide for Female Hormones guide here.
