Happy Sunday sweeties. You guys know I’m a huge fan of popping into Lidl for my food shop and often pick up the odd budget beauty bits. If you follow me on Snapchat [themakeupfairy] you’ll know that I was recently sent some of their expanded Cien range which includes lots of new affordable make up products. I was really impressed with how many essentials have been released including face, eye, lip and nail products. The range is now available permanently in all Lidl stores nationwide meaning you should easily be able to get your hands on the following.

Cien BB Cream €2.99 available in two shades, Light and Medium/Dark is a multi functional skincare perfecter. Offering an SPF 15 this is an ideal formulation to smooth the skin, work on wrinkles and hydrate throughout the day. I found the consistency creamy enough to cover without feeling heavy meaning it’s ideal for holidays.

Cien Eyeshadow €1.99 is pretty pigmented considering it’s extremely affordable price tag. The formula is really silky too with little to no fall out which surprised me. I found each shade blended easily and lasted well when used with a primer. The range of colours is great if you’re looking to add to an existing collection or only beginning to build. The pretty pots of shadow have swirled indentations which are a nice eye catching addition.

Cien Volume Mascara €2.49 does exactly what it says on the tube; adding drama to your eyes whilst holding a nice curl. If you’re heading on holidays the Cien Waterproof Mascara €2.49 is ideal for ensuring you’re free from panda eyes by the pool.

If you’re a lip lover the range includes Cien Lipsticks €2.49 and Cien Lip Glosses €1.99. There’s a selection of six shades from bare to bold with creamy non sticky finishes.

The above are my favourite shade swatches that smell good enough to eat.

In addition to their beauty line the Cien Professional hair care range is now available and includes a Cien Professional Shampoo €1.69, Conditioner €1.69, Intensive Repair Mask €1.79 and Heat Protection Spray €1.79. All products are infused with keratin to treat lack lustre locks that have become dry and damaged post colour and heat. If you’re looking for a really good cleanse, strength restoration, gloss, shine, manageability and protection this range has you covered.
