Anyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with eyebrows; they frame the face and without them the rest of your facial features simply don’t make sense.
Brows have become one of the central emphases in daily beauty regimes; no longer is plucking the be-all-and-end-all of brow grooming. And not only this, but bold, furry brows are one of the biggest fashion statements for Autumn/Winter 2011. Among many, the models in Alexander Wang and Jill Stuart’s A/W shows boasted big, impeccably defined brows as the stand-out feature on flawless faces. I love medium to thick arched brows and use a combination of brow pencil and brow powder to achieve definition for my own brows and of course on my clients. When I received word that the brilliant Beauty Emporium
were stocking Sleek’s new Brow Kits I was overjoyed. Sleek Make Up’s Brow Kit is the ultimate tool for perfect brows every day of the week, it’s perfectly compact kit is small enough to fit in your handbag. The kit comes in 2 shades, Light and Dark, and includes: shaping wax, setting powder, mini tweezers, and angle and blending brushes.
After plucking stray hairs from in-between and underneath the brow (never above!), you can then use your brow kit. Simply brush the brows in an upward direction with a brow brush to loosen the hairs and prep them for application. Apply the shaping wax with the hard, angled brush following the natural shape of your brow to define the brows’ shape. Using the setting powder, apply across the brow sparingly to fill any gaps and create a fuller brow.
Use Sleek Make Up’s Brow Kit after applying the rest of your makeup, and especially after pressed or finishing powder; loose brush strokes over the entirety of your face might spoil your perfectly groomed brows. Sleek Make Up’s Brow Kit can be purchased from Beauty Emporium for €9.10.
